Our first Guest Speaker of the season is Peter Paterson.
Peter is primarily a landscape photographer but also includes still life and abstract images in his work. He has been a speaker at the club at least once before and his talks and fantastic images always go down well with the members.

We will be showcasing some members images and as we had two challenges during the syllabus we will be visually running the results of each of these and presenting prizes.
These two challenges were
An Agricultural team challenge, where teams set off to photograph agricultural subjects. Members will vote on these on the night, and prizes given.
We also had a Livi Village Treasure hunt, where a list of clues was given .
Prizes are being awarded by the most clues anyone followed, The most Humorous image, Members favourite image...

Mon 9 Nov 2026 - Inter-club Competition with Aspley CC, Australia
For a few years now we have been running an international competition with ASPLEY Camera Club in Australia. The results of this competition are shown by projection at Crofthead.
Aspley now lead by 2 in this long running competition, having won the the previous 3 years, albeit by very small margins. We need a result this year.

- This evening is a Members night and is another method of engaging members.
- Members are asked to present panels for projection. Panels can take many forms, Dyptych, Tryptych, multiple panel, collage.
- This is not a competition so it is up to the members to decide how they want to present their images in panel form.
- It is also a way of showing multiple images of one subject.

This evening brings our Season 2026-2027 Syllabus to a close as we hold our AGM & Prize Giving.
Due to the amount of holidays that land in May, and the longer light nights,the Committee agreed to take the decision to close at the end of April and start the Summer Syllabus earlier to take advantage of the lighter nights.
