George Edwards, James Wilson and I (John Love) had a look at potential windfarm sites and they're all a bit less than picturesque. By far the best one is between Shotts and Forth. It is extremely large and has very many turbines. Loads of parking besides locked gates.

This is the results of our second print competition of the year. An independent judge will award scores for each image with a maximum of 20 points. There are three categories of entries: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Scores from this competition count towards the annual league table.

Douglas May is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society. He was a member and then Chairman of their contemporary distinctions panel from 2004 until 2018. He has exhibited and spoken widely including a talk with Paul Hill and Brian Steptoe on the origins and the purpose of the Contemporary Group within the Society. In 2011 he was one of the selectors for the RPS International exhibition. Douglas was President of the Edinburgh Photographic Society from 1997 to 2000. Tonight will be our annual PechaKucha event (that's pronounced "petcha-kootcha"). So, what's PechaKucha? Well, it’s a simple presentation format where you create a slideshow comprising 20 images with each image being displayed for only 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and the objective is that you have those 20 seconds to describe the image and why you have chosen it.

Zoom Presentation - Gordon Rae worked as one of the main freelance Photographers for Dumfries and Galloway Life magazine (twice Scottish consumer magazine of the year)He covered everything from fashion shows to agricultural shows, hospitality events to music festivals etc, so a very varied mix of work.
